Affiliate Disclosure & Editorial Policy

Last updated: November 4, 2026

School Choice Today aims to give families clear, trustworthy information. This page explains how we handle affiliate links, sponsorships, and recommendations.

Affiliate links

Some pages, mainly our Tools & Programs section, may include affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We don’t currently have any affiliate links. This policy applies as soon as we add any.

When a page includes affiliate links, we’ll say so clearly near the top of the page and near the links themselves.

Editorial independence

  • Our guides are neutral and are written to help families understand their options. They don’t include paid recommendations.
  • Recommendations in Tools & Programs are chosen by experienced educators using our published criteria.
  • Commissions, payments, and relationships with companies never decide what we recommend or how we describe it.
  • We may recommend tools or programs that don’t pay us anything, and we won’t recommend something just because it does.

Sponsored content

If we ever publish sponsored content or paid placements, they’ll be clearly labeled as “Sponsored” or “Paid placement” and kept separate from our editorial picks.

How links are marked

Affiliate and sponsored links on our site use the rel="sponsored" attribute, in line with search engine guidelines, and are labeled so readers can see them.
